Obama – Terror Attack Part One – 3:11 P.M. Thursday September 30th 2010

Dave was back at his office early this afternoon reviewing the press releases the State Department was issuing for the weekend on al-Qaeda’s new attempt to intimidate the people of the non-Muslim world. This new information really wasn’t new to Dave since he had a dotted line connecting the branch of the Agency that was handling the incarceration and interrogation of a known al-Quaeda operative, to him on the agency's organizational chart. So Dave was privy to it all as it occurred.

Aban Mohammad Mustafa was picked up, for arguments sake, near the Pakistani border this past summer while the President was vacationing somewhere, and playing golf with his leftist buddies. While he, the President, was dithering, to coin a phrase, on the fairways and greens of the nation’s best courses, Dave’s quiet army of C.I.A. agents combed the border region. Throughout the summer, they infiltrated what could be said is the most dangerous area in the world, like phantoms in the night. Nighttime was their cover and the high-tech goggles that allowed them to observe and attack at will while the Taliban and al-Quaeda forces rested, was an important part of their strategy.

The capture of Aban was important not for who he is but for what he had. He was captured at 3:45 A.M. on June 11, 2010 with a sack on his back full of laptop computers and external hard drives. Dave’s men quickly hustled him off to a staging base near Kabul and then on to an undisclosed interrogation camp somewhere in the world where Senate hearings couldn’t touch him. It was only by chance that this amount of information was in Aban’s hands. He was just a flunky errand boy who was told to pick up the sack after a drone attack killed the fighter that was to take the equipment into a more urban part of Pakistan where Taliban leaders operated from.

Dave sipped on his coffee, which tasted a little flat since he had put it down over two hours ago. He got so alarmed by the updated reports coming from his interrogation team that he needed to speak to the Secretary over at the Pentagon as soon as possible as the 608th day of the Obama Presidency dithered while the enemy gathered.
