The Making of a Dark Age of Religious Tyranny

By Nicholas Contompasis

It's clear that what's happening in North Africa, the Middle East and Western Asia is an implosion of the frail governmental structures that have held this part of the world up for decades. It's also clear that it's the governments and their leaders that are falling from grace, not the Muslim religious network that technically holds an iron fist over these people.
It's this Muslim religious network that is destine to inherit and control the regions in a loosely held caliphate. But, in the meantime, anarchy will be a more descriptive word to describe the process getting there.
Democracy to these people is just a word that has no meaning. Unfortunately, as this messy process unravels, the hope of this meaningless word will fall by the wayside and these people will digress into a dark age of religious tyranny.
